
Susan Alexander is a Mission Minded Senior Strategist. She has decades of experience working with nonprofit organizations as a communications and fundraising consultant.
As Vice President for Communications for more than 16 years at the nonprofit, public interest communications agency, Public Media Center, Susan primarily managed the environmental portfolio and advised clients on media outreach and strategic communications planning, messaging, and branding. She also wrote and produced advertisements and a wide variety of collateral material, and managed design and production of identity systems and promotional items.
Previous positions include Vice President for Communications at Green Seal, Eco-Desk Manager for Esprit de Corp., and Communications Coordinator for the Earth Day 1990 International Headquarters. She worked for The Wilderness Society, both as a lobbyist in Washington, D.C. and as the Society's Alaska Regional Director in Anchorage, where her activist, lobbying, organizing, and media outreach efforts focused on preventing oil drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
Susan is a trustee and capital campaign co-chair at Children's Day School in San Francisco. She earned her undergraduate degree at Bryn Mawr College and a law degree at George Washington University.
