Overview
As a graphic designer at Mission Minded, you will work on a wide range of print and Web design projects from concept through production. We focus on strategy, helping our clients find their voice and creating attention-grabbing, original graphic design in pursuit of our clients’ goals.

We seek someone with a focus on strategic communications, demonstrated creativity, a nuanced understanding of typography, and the ability to make complex ideas visual and easy to understand.

You must be meticulous in your attention to detail, an excellent communicator, a creative designer, a strategic thinker, someone who’s able to respond to critical feedback, a quick problem-solver and a warm, person with a sense of humor.

This is a 20 hour/week freelance position. You will be expected to work from your own office. You will use your own office technology including computer, software, and phone.

Reports to the Art Director.

Responsibilities

• Concept and brainstorm in teams
• Create innovative graphic design for print and Web
• Manage production
• Research photography and illustration
• Communicate with clients and manage projects
• Develop printing specs and communicate with print broker to secure cost estimates
• Review all printers proofs
• Attend press checks

Requirements

• College degree preferred
• 5 years graphic design experience and print production; 3 years Web design experience
• Exceptionally high attention to detail
• Typographic expertise
• Knowledge of Web usability guidelines and trends
• Strong team player
• Extreme enthusiasm for customer service
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to work from home and be self managing
• Expertise with InDesign, Quark, Illustrator, and Photoshop

Compensation
